Recover control of a business

When the Owner cannot be reached, a person on our team reviews who may run the business.

Use Recover control when the Owner is gone or cannot be reached. A person on our team checks your ID, the business papers and your right to act. Then they decide.

To ask:

1. On Find the business first, press Recover control on the business.

2. Say who you are for the business: the legal owner, or someone who acts for them. Then add the legal owner's name if you act for them.

3. Give an email the business uses, then press Ask for a review.

It worked when the page shows Your request with a reference code. Open your request to follow it, answer a question, or appeal a decision.

If you are an Admin and the Owner cannot be reached, one press asks for the review. While it is open, ownership, billing, deleting the business and removing teammates stop. Hiring keeps working.

When someone else asks, the business keeps running as it is until a decision.

Owners: keep the business safe. After the business is verified, Team suggests a backup Admin and recovery contacts. Add an email, a phone and a senior person. Only you see them, and staff see them inside a recovery review. They never replace your own phone for signing in. A business run by one person can skip this.

Something went wrong? Finish your ID check first if the page asks for it. You can ask for five reviews a day.
